Land Acknowledgement

I am a settler on land first cared for by the Hohokam peoples, ancestors of the O’Odham tribes. It is important to me to acknowledge that the land that I am practicing on, O’Odham Jewed territories, now known as Tucson, Arizona, were stolen from not only the Tohono O’Odham, but also the Pasqua Yaqui and other various tribes among the 22 tribes across present-day Arizona. I acknowledge that these people continue to inhabit these lands but have been pushed onto “reservations” with limited power and sovereignty. I recognize that the systems in place that enforce these limitations are harmful to not only these peoples, but all people, non-living organisms, and the land at large. I stand in solidarity with these tribes in their current work towards land reclamation, dismantling these systems, building up the strength and resilience of their communities, and holding onto their cultures, traditions, and languages (all which has been assaulted by violent and oppressive colonial systems and institutions).

*10% of my Ecotherapy fee will be allocated to various liberatory efforts of local tribes and mutual aid for members of these tribes. Ask me for more details about where this is going as it will change based on the current needs.
